based on the tranquil waters of Pembrokeshire's
Evening sunshine on the
between the steep banks of ancient woodlands,
nosing into tidal creeks, and winding our way
through the sheltered inlets and tidal marshes, we
will be surrounded by the abundant wildlife of the
ornithologists and botanists will find plenty of
interest, but it is also a wonderful place to just
relax and enjoy the scenery.
In spite of its present-day
tranquillity, the waterway has a rich and varied
maritime history: fishing; mining; quarrying;
shipbuilding and transportation of goods. We will
visit remains of this bygone industry, and on
spring tides we will be able to reach
rarely-visited sites high up the waterway.
We will include a trip into the
main Milford Haven Waterway, which takes on a more
'coastal' feel, and if conditions permit, we may
take a further coastal paddle.

wide experience of canoe or kayak touring. Your
guide will be on hand for advice, and you will have
the opportunity to share in planning and
navigation. All canoeing or kayaking equipment is
supplied. You may choose to paddle Open

You need to be
able to control a canoe or kayak on simple water,
and be confident in a capsize situation. If you do
not have prior experience, you could extend your
holiday by booking a two-day beginners' course
prior to the tour.
