Team Work - 'Off the Peg' Exercises

Adventure Trail

Adventure Trail is a challenging but 'fun' event without the trappings of formal team-building. Adventure Trail is ideal for teams who want an outdoor experience without the element of problem-solving or mental puzzles.

Teams of 8 or more:

£75 per person, per day

• Brecon Beacons • Forest of Dean • Wye Valley • Vale of Neath • Snowdonia • Anglesey

A typical Adventure Trail will include sections on foot, mountain bike and canoe. A more adventurous trail may include an abseil or ravine crossing using ropes (certain locations only).

The day can be set at a level to suit the group, but as the team completes the trail together it is best if they are of roughly similar fitness. (It is possible to have two teams at different levels).

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens on the course?

Your group will enjoy a positive and rewarding experience, and will bring the 'buzz' back into your organisaton. How this is achieved varies from course to course; we are as flexible as possible.

Where do the courses take place?

We run courses in a variety of areas, including: Brecon Beacons, Vale of Neath, Snowdonia, Wye Valley ...

The exact location is decided depending on where you are based, where you want to stay, and which activities you want to include in your programme.

While most clients will appreciate the opportunity to enjoy their team-building away from the distractions of their normal work environment, some may prefer a local event. We will be happy to quote for a course in your locality.

What about accommodation?

We have found that our clients' accommodation requirements are as varied as those for training. Some like to relax at the end of the day in a comfortable hotel with the prospect of an á la carte menu, while others find that self-catering extends the team-building experience. For this reason, our courses are arranged on a non-residential basis, allowing you to select the accommodation that suits you best. 'Team Camp' could provide the ultimate in team-living for the hardier team! Hotels, self-catering, and bunk-houses are all available throughout Wales. Maybe you already have a favourite venue? If not we will be happy to help you find suitable accommodation. Check our Accommodation page.

Camping can be arranged, if you want to maximise the outdoor experience.

Will it be an outdoor activities course?

Outdoor activities such as canoeing, mountaineering and orienteering play an important part in many of our courses, but there are other options! Outdoor activies are not invariably an end in themselves, but can be integrated with initiative and problem-solving exercises into a structured programme including feedback and discussion time.

Adventurous activities are led by appropriately qualified instructors and conform to governing body guidelines.

How strenuous are the courses?

Our team-work courses are not endurance tests! Any reasonably fit person should be able to complete one of our 'Off the Peg' courses comfortably, and we can adapt a course to suit older or less fit teams, super-fit teams or teams with a wide range of ability and fitness. Your group will not be asked to run miles across country or swim frozen lakes, but must come prepared to be outdoors all day in inclement weather, and to cope with occasional duckings (you can specify how 'wet' you want the course to be!). Medical conditions must be notified in advance of the course.

When are you open?

Our 'team bulding' programme is available all year, except for our Xmas-New Year holiday (12 December -6 February). The exact programme for any 'team-building' course is decided with the weather in mind!
