'Paddlesport' - Canoeing and Kayaking

Canoe Camping Tour on the River Wye

An old favourite updated!

By popular demand, we have combined our original two tours, and now offer a 5-day holiday travelling along the River Wye.

A leisurely five-day guided tour along the beautiful river Wye, taking time out for sightseeing, and using a combination of riverside accommodation and camping on the way.  Travelling as a self-sufficient group during the day, each evening you will arrive at a campsite where your tents will be ready erected. One night will usually be spent at a riverside B&B.

2010 dates: 5 - 9 July (Mon-Fri)

5 days £450*

Includes 2-3 nights self-catering camping and 1 nights B&B.

*Other itineraries and durations available.

The tour will start at Glasbury on Wye and end in Monmouth, paddling at the foot of the Black Mountains and passing through the Historic Border town of Hay on Wye, famous for its many bookshops, and the Herefordshire Cider Country before arriving in the Historic border City of Hereford, where we will take time out for sightseeing.

From Hereford we will paddle through gentle Herefordshire countryside and the more rugged Symonds Yat Gorge, shooting the rapids on the way! The energetic can ascend to the top of Symonds Yat Rock where the view is truly spectacular, and you may be rewarded by a sighting of the Peregrines. For the less energetic there are pubs, teashops and woodland walks.

The tour ends in Monmouth, another historic Welsh Border town.
