Shrewsbury Abbey from the

Shrewsbury Abbey from the River

Afon Hafren - River Severn offers 130 miles of canoe touring in the Welsh borderlands, flowing through unspoiled countryside and towns and cities steeped in history, such as Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. The Severn Valley Steam Railway follows the river for some of its course.

It is impossible to fit everything into a single tour, so we have selected some of the gems, both on and off the water, for our canoe tour of the Severn.

The tour combines guided canoeing with sightseeing, and a comfortable base to relax in the evenings.

The pace is leisurely, allowing plenty of time both on and off the water

After a leisurely breakfast we are dropped off each morning at the day's launch point, to paddle, with packed lunch, to the next location.

After spending time sightseeing, shopping, or enjoying a leisure afternoon tea as you wish, we return to the B&B, where you are at leisure until the following morning.
