Canoeing and Kayaking

River Trip An excellent day out and a favourite with our school and youth groups! Ideal for beginners and those with a little more experience alike, we use open canoes and/or touring kayaks to explore the scenic river Wye and its abundant wildlife. After a short lesson on the basic paddling strokes we set off downstream taking a river bank picnic on the way. No capsize drills are needed for these open craft, and even nervous beginners can rapidly progress to be able to complete the trip. - Wye Valley

BCU 'Star' Tests We can offer training and testing for BCU 1 - 4 Star Awards in Canoe or Kayak.

Half-day 'taster' sessions We can offer half-day 'taster' sessions in either canoe or kayak at various river, canal and lake venues, using open canoes and kayaks as above.

• Brecon Beacons • Forest of Dean • Wye Valley • Vale of Neath • Gower Peninsula

Snowdonia/Anglesey and Pembrokeshire by arrangement.

Combinations with other activities

Half-day canoeing and kayaking can be combined with caving; climbing and abseiling; wayfaring or river gorge adventure to make up a full day's programme.
