Improvised Rafting
Raft-building combines outdoor adventure with problem-solving and teamwork skills. Basic materials and some advice on design and knot-tying are provided before the group attempts to design, build and ultimately race their raft over a short course against their peers. Single or non-competitive teams may undertake a short journey in lieu of the race.
Combinations
with other activities Improvised
Rafting is offered as a half-day session. It can be
combined with bell-boating; canoeing and kayaking;
climbing and abseiling; wayfaring or river gorge
adventure to make up a full day's programme.
