Introduction to Kayaking - Inland Water A course for those with no previous experience who would like to take up kayaking on inland waters.

Introduction to Kayaking - Salt Water A course for those with little or no previous experience who would like to experience kayaking on tidal waters.	This course is run on a half-board basis at Ingledene B&B, beside the sea in Trearddur Bay. Price from £395 per person based on sharing in twin room. Singles/doubles available. This is an 'adult-only' course for over 15's.  General Course Info: what's inlcuded; what to bring; what to expect etc.
Recommended dates: September.	On this course you will learn the basics of kayak paddling; some simple safety and rescue techniques, including the capsize drill (closed-cockpit kayaks). You will be given the opportunity to paddle open-cockpit touring kayaks, whitewater kayaks and sea kayaks. By the end of the course you should be able to paddle confidently on flat water, and will have tackled some easy moving water. The course will include at least one self-sufficient full-day trip and you will paddle at some classic venues including (conditions permitting): Inland Sea; Trearddur Bay and Menai Strait. Theory sessions will cover the first steps of planning for journeys on tidal water. This course is ideal preparation for Moving on to Sea Kayak Touring. The emphasis of this course is on gaining the skills and experience to progress in kayaking. We do not follow a formal syllabus, but keep the programme as flexible as possible to address individuals' aspirations. However, appropriate BCU/UKCC Star tests and Paddlepower awards can be taken on the course, by prior arrangement.
