Western Scotland
Sea kayaking
on the West coast of Scotland is an unforgettable
experience. In addition to some interesting and challenging
sea conditions the area offers breathtakingly beautiful and
varied scenery. Cliffs, castles and caves abound. Seals,
porpoises eagles and otters are all possible 'sightings' or
even companions as we paddle. This is a course for paddlers
competent on open and/or moving water and confident in a
capsize situation, as we will be self-sufficient in remote
locations. We may include a two-day trip with overnight
camp.
'Introduction to Sea Kayaking' 'Wet and Wild Kayaksport' or 'Touring and Exploring Scotland' would provide useful skills and experience for this holiday.

*The course is based in comfortable self-catering chalets complete with cooker/fridge/TV. There are laundry facilities on site. Subject to availability of accommodation, non-paddling family members could enjoy a holiday at the same location (the accommodation is available for one night either end of the course.
