Off-the-Peg Teamwork Exercises

Treasure Hunt

A team exercise in an informal fun atmosphere. Complete with treasure map and message in a bottle, following cryptic clues, coded messages and a few red herrings, your team will attempt to locate and recover the treasure. This exercise can be adapted to a single team or multiple teams racing each other to locate and recover the treasure.

Teams of 8 or more:

£75 per person, per day

Treasure Hunt is based on following clues and will include a lot of travelling over easy terrain, mostly on foot, but possibly also using public transport, bikes and/or canoes.

This is an ideal choice for teams who do not want a full-on activity-based challenge, but who want to enjoy an appropriately-pitched adventure in the outdoor environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens on the course?

Your group will enjoy a positive and rewarding experience, and will bring the 'buzz' back into your organisaton. How this is achieved varies from course to course; we are as flexible as possible.

Where do the courses take place?

We run courses in a variety of areas, including: Brecon Beacons, Vale of Neath, Snowdonia, Wye Valley ...

The exact location is decided depending on where you are based, where you want to stay, and which activities you want to include in your programme.

While most clients will appreciate the opportunity to enjoy their Team-Work away from the distractions of their normal work environment, some may prefer a local course. We will be happy to quote for a course in your locality.

What about accommodation?

We have found that our clients' accommodation requirements are as varied as those for training. Some like to relax at the end of the day in a comfortable hotel with the prospect of an á la carte menu, while others find that self-catering extends the team-building experience. For this reason, our courses are arranged on a non-residential basis, allowing you to select the accommodation that suits you best. Hotels, self-catering, bunk-houses and camping are all available throughout Wales. Maybe you already have a favourite venue? If not we will be happy to help you find suitable accommodation. Check our Accommodation page.

Camping can be arranged, if you want to maximise the outdoor experience.

Will it be an outdoor activities course?

Outdoor activities such as canoeing, mountaineering and orienteering play an important part in many of our courses, but there are other options! Outdoor activies are not invariably an end in themselves, but can be integrated with initiative and problem-solving exercises into a structured programme including feedback and discussion time.

Adventurous activities are led by appropriately qualified instructors and conform to governing body guidelines.

How strenuous are the courses?

Our team-work courses are not endurance tests! Any reasonably fit person should be able to complete one of our 'Off the Peg' courses comfortably, and we can adapt a course to suit older or less fit teams, or teams with a wide range of ability and fitness. Your group will not be asked to run miles across country or swim frozen lakes, but must come prepared to be outdoors all day in inclement weather, and to cope with occasional duckings (you can specify how 'wet' you want the course to be!). Medical conditions must be notified in advance of the course.

When are you open?

Our 'Team-Work' programme is available all year, except for our Xmas-New Year holiday (12 December -12 January). The exact programme for any 'Team Work' course is decided with the weather in mind!
